Ok, we'll admit that statement is a bit much but every grandmother and, for that matter many a grandfather used a different recipe than the neighbors for making soap. That's why MoSoap offers so many different types, from strong to extra gentle lye soap.
True old fashion lye soap - no exotic oils, no fragrance, just simple ingredients for clean, natural soap. These country style lye soaps contain no coconut or other tropical nut oils as many "old fashion" soaps on the market today offer. The simple fact is that coconut oil and other exotic oils were not available to rural farm soap makers back in the early 1900's - and even now in this day and age, you'll be hard pressed to find local growing coconut or palm trees here in Missouri. We source local ingredients and support our local farm families.
It's quality soap at a fair price. An added benefit of no nut oils and fragrance is that many people find certain plant oils or fragrance cause allergies and rashes. Customers with dry skin love our simple yet effective soap.
