Handmilled Lye Soap

Some people call it "rebatched", some call it "crockpot" soap and we call it Hand Milled soap.
This is our Traditional and Basic Lye Soap melted down and cooked again, but with the additonal of palm oil. It's an old fashion method that my family used to ensure soap was extremely gentle to the skin. Soap making was a chore for farm families in the past and you certaily didn't have time to make more than one batch of soap. It needed to wash the floors and clean the clothes. By grating down or hand milling the regular soap, extra oils were added to ensure a very gentle soap. Now, we don't make our own lye any longer, but love the feel of this hand milled soap and hope you do too. It actually lathers better than our other lye soaps.
3.2 ounce bar Unscented
Ingredients: Lard, Tallow, Water, Lye and Palm Oil.
