Black Walnut & Sassafras Soap

This fragrant handmade soap is a true Ozark classic. Sassafras and Black Walnut trees grow in the beautiful Ozarks and many a soapmaker infused these barks into their oils and water when they made this soap.

While we no longer infuse the actual barks, MoSoap uses the essential oil of sassafras and the heavy black oil of walnut (not a flavoring or cooking oil) to create the vintage soap. Loaded with skin soothing olive oil, our soap is gentle and has a wonderful lather. We do have to caution, that while though the soap is gentle, some folks may have a skin sensitivity to the use of sassafras oil. So if you have any doubts and have sensitive skin, we don't recommend it for you.

Ingredients: Olive Oil, Water, Coconut Oil, Lye, Palm Oil, Soybean Oil, Sassafras Essential Oil, Castor Oil, Black Walnut Oil.
